Bryn Mawr Winter Basketball begins the first weekend after the New Year! We have 4 divisions based on enrollment and player ability. Bryn Mawr is a recreational league at the core with select/travel teams for various sports. Our basketball program divisions:
C League : Coed 6-7 year olds - learning the basic fundamentals
B League: 8-10 year olds - competitive play within our league
A League : 11-13* year olds - competitive play with our league. Designed for the stronger 10 year old player, with the core players ages 11 and 12. 13 Year olds who are new to the game or need additional instruction and experience before moving up to the Seniors division may also be eligible based on pre-season evaluations.
Seniors : 13-16 year olds - Competitive play with our league with additional select team who will travel within the city of Yonkers to compete. Determined at evaluations
We welcome both boys and girls to play in all divisions. In years past we separated the girls to their own division and age bracket. Given the decrease in girls playing the sport locally within our club, all girls are welcome to play in our current divisions including Seniors.
Coaches are needed in all divisions/age groups.
Games are played on Saturdays for our Coed C league, Mostly Saturdays for our A & B divisions with some weeknights, and weeknights for our Seniors.
